Ultra sailing school – regatta Komiza 2018

27th Regatta Komiza has just finished.This regatta is specific because it marks the beginning of summer. Due to the light wind we did not enjoy the start in front of the Split city port. Therefore 64 sailing boats started in front of Maslinica, near the Barjaci Islands, at 11:45. Ultra sailing boat Archambault 40 “Duh Ultre”, with 4 Ultra sailing school attendants and 3 instructors crossed the finish line in Komiza at 16:13 taking up 4th place in his group and 11th place in total.
The second day our crew took the advantage to sail out from Komiza on a daily trip, further training and enjoying the charms of the southern part of the island of Vis. Cheerful team sailed to island of Bisevo and visited the Cave and Porat Cove. After nice walk and swimming they sailed back to Komiza by trying the genaker.
On Sunday Regatta started at 09:00 in front of Komiza. After 33,20 NM and 8 hours of sailing, “Duh Ultre” ended the regatta at 6th place overall ( at the 2nd place in the group). Congratulations to the crew on the excellent result. See you next year!
