The 74nd Vis Regatta is over. Nice and warm weather attracted a record number of sailboats, straight 172. In the absence of wind, the start line of the first leg was transferred from Sustipan to the south side of the island of Solta, in front of the Livka bay. Ultra sailing school has participated with instructors and sailing school participants on 2 sailing boats, Beneteau First 40.7 “Ultra Svibor” and Beneteau Oceanis 35 “Gala”.  “Ultra Svibor” has finished the first leg at a great 50th place.
During Saturday both crews took advantage of a free day for a walk in the town of Vis and tasting of local products.
On Sunday morning the second leg started. With a calm sea and a lack of wind, only few of sailing boats reached the finish line on sails, in front of Split. “Molo Longo Tutta Trieste” sailing boat was the first to reach the finish line, while the overall winner of this year’s Regatta Vis was “Dubrovnik”. “Ultra Svibor” with Marko Mađarević as an instructor and the participants of navigation sailing course won the first place in OPEN Cruising 2 group while “Gala” with Toni Bušić and the participants of the basic sailing course came 9th in their group.
Congratulations to our instructors and crew!
