Berths in ACI marina

All berths are equipped with reception, restaurants, showers etc. When arriving in any ACI marina their staff will help you and take your original documents of the boat at the reception. When leaving please do not forget to pay invoice and take your original documents with you. Some of the marinas in the Southern part of the Adriatic are: ACI Trogir, ACI Split, ACI Milna (island of Brač), ACI Vrbovska (island of Hvar), ACI Palmižana (island of Hvar), ACI Korčula (island of Korčula), ACI Dubrovnik, ACI Skradin etc. We kindly advise you to use the services of ACI marinas when the weather is bad or after 2-3 days of charter when you need to fill up water tanks or clean your laundry.  If you are chartering in the peak season (July and August) try to reach mooring before 16:00 because it can get crowded. Berth at the coast

Some smaller places like Maslinica, Jelsa, Komiža, Vis, Starigrad, Šipan, Lumbarda, Vela Luka, Orebić and Luka Slano provide moorings on a pier with water and electricity. The prices are lower than in ACI marinas; they range from 4€ to 8€ per meter for vessels up to 15 meters.

Please bear in mind that some islands like Mljet, Vis or Lastovo have their own water provider service not connected with shore so you will be asked to save water (avoid boat cleaning and taking long showers).

We kindly recommend Pučišća on the island of Brač with a low mooring price and very secure bay.

Buoys

Some places like Starigrad, Hvar, Korčula, Vis, Veli Lago (Lastovo) or Mljet will charge you for buoys. Sometimes it is because the local authorities try to avoid crowds or anchoring to save the underwater flora. Hvar is the most expensive port and if you are not eager to party it is better to avoid the peak season and mooring stress in Hvar. (ACI marina Palmizana is near and you can always have a taxi boat to visit Hvar). Prices for buoys in listed places range from 4€ to 8€ per meter for vessels up to 15 m. Taking rubbish should be included but please ask the authorities if the price includes a short morning stay on the coast for buying food or filling the water tank.

Free anchoring in Croatia

Anchoring is possible in lots of bays but please pay attention to the signs; if something is forbidden it’s clearly marked. Always take note of how the locals’ boats are anchored so you can see to which wind the bay is open. If plants and trees grow near the sea it is a sign that the place might be good for anchorage. If you are looking for quiet places for day swimming and maybe night anchoring where no one will charge you there are lots of places on your way but try to avoid them if the weather forecast is not good. The best place to go swimming in the clean sea on the first or last day of your charter is the south side of Brač (bays Osibova, Maslinova or Lučice) or the south side of Šolta (bays Livka and Tatinja).

Anchoring in the National park Mljet will be charged but it includes entrance tickets to the National park, 2 days stay and taking the trash.

Some smaller places offer buoys free of charge but they will expect to have at least a drink in their restaurants (the owners of the restaurants usually have a concession) like:

Šešula (island of Šolta) – Šišmiš bar
Lučica (island of Brač)
Moster or Veli Porat – island of Šćedro
Okuklje (island of Mljet) – restaurant Maestral
Gradina (entrance in Vela Luka) -restaurant Šiloko
Zaklopatica (island of Lastovo) – restaurant Augusta Insula.
