YACHTS REVIEW: Beneteau Oceanis 38

The new model from the Beneteau shipyard, Oceanis 38, will be seen in Croatia at the beginning of January. We ordered it for our charter fleet and the season 2014. French, innovative as always, have given us quite a headache with the possibilities of layout and equipment.
Why?
Oceanis 38 offers several solutions and different interior as well as the cockpit features. Since all of us in the office were interested in this size, because we have seen that on the Adriatic everything that is bigger than 40 feet sometimes causes problems.

We discussed whether to leave the forward cabin bulkhead or leave the stern open … Generally, the ship was commissioned, and at the office we still talk about what else is needed or unnecessary.

Each of us has their own vision regarding the use of the vessel and the crew, so this model has proved great by giving the possibilities to create a vessel according to one’s own needs and lifestyle … We were unanimous in one: this is definitely a family boat to enjoy the Adriatic, and then we received the confirmation from the Beneteau shipyard that the promotion of the Oceanis 38 at the Southampton fair went well and that the model was awarded in the category 2014 Family cruiser category-European yacht of the year…

Now, we just have to wait and test “La gaffe” as soon as it arrives.
