If you decide to sail from the port of Pomer (Pula), one of the must-see stations on your trip will be the island of Rab ( 55NM).

The whole city is one unique historical monument. It is located south of the island of Krk, and east of the island of Cres.

  • Rab is a  true Mediterranean wonder under the heights of Velebit
  •  There are 7 other places on the island: Lopar, Barbat, Banjol, Palit, Kampor, Mundanije, Supetarska Draga
  • The town of Rab sits on a narrow sliver of land protruding towards the mainland, bounded by ancient city walls and recognisable by four church towers that form the familiar outline, depicting Rab as a ship with four masts: bell tower of the church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary – the cathedral, the bell tower of the church of St. John the Evangelist (located near the ruins of the Church), the belfry of the church of St. Andrew the Apostle and the bell tower of the church of St. Justine.
  • The whole island is full of legends and stories from ancient times. Like the one about the painter Marin, the founder of the state of San Marino, then we have  St. Christopher who rescued Rab from the Norman conquerors,  Califront and the shepherdess Dear, Greeks and Romans who called the island Felix Arba – a happy island where today’s visitors obviously feel happy
  • „Rab Fair ” is a three-day event (July 25-27th ) … fair participants are local craftsmen and artisans occupied in crafts that existed in the Middle Ages, as well as associations and cultural-artistic companies that cultivate traditional values, local product manufacturing and way of living.
  • Rab cake  has become the most original souvenir of the Island of Rab (  (recommendation; please check the  bakery “Vilma”)
