Beneteau yacht rally 2016

For the Beneteau yacht rally 2016 we decided to explore some new beautiful places on the Adriatic coast. Usually all these years  Rally was held from  the south Adriatic coast to the Island Vis or Hvar. This time we decided to go up north. On the 8th of October after we finished all formalities, all crews were  welcomed on their boats.  Skipper’s meeting was on Sunday morning, and start was at 11:00. First leg from Trogir – Primošten(17NM).  We sailed  at nice 12 knots mostly eastern direction. All boats were on time in Primošten. Some of our crews left to the nearby beach and some of them on cold beer. They really deserved it. After the short refreshment, we went for a dinner .

Dinner was served in very nice domestic environment close to Marina Frapa in Rogoznica. It is called „Angi“. The menu was thoroughly planned with delicacies such as fritters, domestic brand, vegetable soup, proscuitto, cheese, bacon, famous dalmatian „peka“ in  both meat and octopus combinations, pumpkin and apple strudel. We continue and take few quick drinks at the local pub.

Crews woke up on Monday early in the morning and we proceeded to Skradin. During the second leg we had  up to 18 knots East wind. Although it was raining, whole crews  were satisfied with the long-awaited wind.

Skradin is a small town in the Šibenik’s area. The main attraction of the park, Slapovi Krke, is a series of waterfalls, the biggest of which, Skradinski buk, was named after Skradin.

Once again all crews came on time in Skradin. We had organized boat, which transfered us to NP Krka. We did short speed walking along the waterfalls and by the time we were all already on the boat, the rain started to fall.

Fish menu was served at the restaurant “Bonaca”, after which we had “Skradin cake”. It was delicious.

Third day and last leg we sailed from Skradin  – Trogir( 35NM) with light northeast wind. Although we missed the wind for this long route, all the crews gave their best and tried to sail as more as they could and finished on time in Trogir.

We came little bit earlier and crew had enough time for relax before the awards ceremony.

The awards dinner was served at the nearby restaurant “Bocel” in Trogir, where we assigned the awards congratulate each other on the great time that we spent together and said goodbye to the next Beneteau Yacht Rally 2017. We are already looking forward to it, coming together in good mood and positive competition.
