Why is this event important to us?
This is our 22nd time at Biograd boat show. First of all, the venue, as it is held in a natural environment in the beautiful marina Kornati, which makes transfer and presentation of sailing yachts that much easier.
Then there is time of year which is prefect for any kind of nautical event, with the weather still being rather nice and sunny, plus the warm sea reserved for the bravest among us.
As always, you can take a look at new models, innovations, boat equipment and used boats. For a second year in a row, there is a separate B2B event which is reserved for charter stands and seminars. All of the above is why we are here for the 22nd time.

Boat show in mid of the second wave of Covid-19?
This year all of us are dealing with circumstance not before experienced in our lifetime; due to Covid-19 second wave, we could only see each other’s eyes as smiles were kept under masks which we so diligently wore, all the while keeping social distance of course. We were surprised by the many that came from inland, in dire need of fresh air, and fed up with the depressing stories from the media. One thing we noticed is that in addition to visitors, boat and sea lovers, there were a lot of residential sailing and motor boats, mostly occupied by people from Switzerland, Austria, Slovakia and Czech Republic. Only ones missing were the charter agents from abroad, with whom we held Zoom meetings which were kindly provided by the B2B part of the boat show, so there was communication albeit virtual.
In Hall D/B where the charter fleets were stationed, virtual meetings were mostly held. As this was an indoor part of the boat show, there weren’t a lot of visitors. Here the Charter Association meeting was held to discuss burning issues regarding this strange season behind us. A part of the charter fleets did not have a stand this year but opted to only be present with the vessels and kept all of the presentations outside. Even though there was a considerably fewer number of our colleagues present with their fleets, it is always nice to see them and catch up, all at a distance of course 🙂
Which Beneteau sailing boats did we exhibit this year?
Beneteau First Yacht 53 “Zenith”
Right at the entrance, Ultra as the official dealer for Beneteau aroused attention with 3 new models. Of which the brand new First Yacht 53 turned most heads, as it is the only model in Croatia. Delivered in July of 2020, this was the premiere in Croatia. Two parallel test sailings were done in More magazine, and Yachts Croatia. Sailing enthusiasts were sure not to miss this.

COCKPIT AND DECK of the First 53 Yacht is a lucky combination of classic and modern, with the cockpit being inspected to the smallest details in order to have enough space to relax, but not to interfere with maneuvering and sailing. With the clean, straight teak deck and elegant modern look designed by Lorenzo Argento, it has all the traits of a luxury sailing yacht. For regatta enthusiats, this vessel has a storage of 2,4m2 under the stern platform to keep the sails or a dinghy.

INTERIOR First 53 Yacht:
Modern, minimalistic decorum of the interior is definitely „avant-garde“ in boating as with all Beneteau sailing yachts. Relaxing zone is what is accented on this boat, across from whihc lies the table and the galley. This sailing yacht comes in a light interior, with the master cabin being the most desirable.
