On Saturday, 12th of August, in the small bay of Postira, Igor Piacun and Max Juričić 11th year in a row traditionally organised Pequena regata nocturna. This very unusual regatta takes place in the small port of Postira, and it starts at 10 pm, under the reflectors and with backround music of Mozart’s music. The mixture of reflectors, music and sailing in port is what makes this regatta so unusual experience…

The start of the regatta was traditionaly at 10 pm. During the day strong Bura, NE wind, was blowing so organisers were a bit sceptical about regatta. Luckily, right before the start bura stoped blowing so rough so it was around 10 knots when regatta started. The crew of ultra Express with skipper Enia Ninčević had a really nice start, they were in front of last year’s winner Toni Bulaja and they managed to first cross the finish line. Round one was done and two best crews, one of Enia Ninčević on Ultra Express and the second of Ante Botica on Mozak, were sent to finals. Those two skippers, both very good sailors from small classes offered to audience a very interesting duel and a match race. Finals were sailed on two indetical beneteau platou 25 boats, which Ultra specially gave for this regatta so that regatta could be more interesting. Ante Botica had a slightly better start and during the reggata he was sailing very well on to his opponents so in the end his crew took a first place and they were officialy winners of the 11th Pequena regata nocturna.
The second part of reggata took place by the pool of Postira’s hotel Pastura and sounds of Mozart were now replaced by sounds of Ljetno kino band and greatest hits from the past few decades… the party continued until the early morning hours and only the most resistant welcomed the morning sun and breakfast with the famous fisherman from Vis, Kalambera…
